For another, it had a legitimate actor in the captain. For one thing, there is no family dynamic. Some disaster occurs and the plots is getting the five cast members to reunite before SAG catches their error and revokes their acting union cards. The stock formula for Asylum films are an estranged nerdish socially impaired father, a successful out-of-his-league mother, a thoroughly annoying teenage daughter, her disposable idiot boyfriend, and a know-it-all perma-wedgie son.
#Flight.world.war.ii.2015 sub lebah ganteng indonesia movie
This is a movie that is more of an TV show episode in depth, so it is not one of the great low budget flicks, but it still is an interesting story told cheaply.

It is a low budget film, so you only see a handful of passengers on the plane, the CGI all looks like CGI, but you don't mind, because all of it adds to the story, rather than trying to wow us, and the acting is TV soap opera standard. Yes, this movie is intelligent and has a subtle but well explained plot. So all the critics talking about the historical inaccuracies, well that is a plot point in the movie. The time line they are sent back to is not 100% the same as ours. Okay this is sort of a spoiler but based on some of the reviews of this movie, it is needed. Luckily there are 2 world war II historians on board to help identify this issue. So the plot is pretty basic, a commercial airliner is sent back in time by a weird storm and ends up flying over WWII. But, like this movie, they have that old sense of suspension of disbelief without suspension of all reason that modern Hollywood movies require. But the inside information on Asylum is they kind of take themselves pretty seriously and not all mega sharks and rip offs. I am a huge fan of low budget movies and Asylum, who brought us Sharknado along with movies that are apparently rip offs of bigger budget Hollywood movies and that movie where a giant shark bites an airliner flying at cruising attitude, is the studio that does low budget flicks. I had no trouble watching it from beginning to end - which is more than I can say for a lot of big budget movies with mega-stars. I'm going to give it an 8 - not because it's a great movie - but because in spite of its limitations it accomplishes what it sets out to accomplish. I think the rating this movie gets here (4.4 at the time of writing) is ridiculously low. You have to know that going in to it and set your expectations accordingly. It's a low budget, sci-fi movie about time travel featuring a largely little known cast. Nobody knows how it happened, and it takes a while for everyone to be convinced that it has happened - but however it happened, it happened, and it's enjoyable enough to watch as the crew and passengers come to terms with their situation and try to develop a plan to get out of it alive. International Airlines Flight 42 from Dulles to Heathrow encounters a weird storm over the Atlantic, and when passing through it also somehow goes back in time - emerging over the French coast during a German bombing raid in 1940. From that perspective it worked quite well. Folks need to stop fixating on that and accept the movie as sheer entertainment. The timeline is just a little bit different. So, somehow, history is a little bit different, which perhaps helps to explain a lot of what seem to be historical inaccuracies.

That's even pointed out in the movie, as they discuss the Battle of Dunkirk - in this movie it didn't turn out the way it actually turned out. People need to cut this movie a bit of slack.
